The difference between Fear and Anxiety

“Fear” is the emotional response to real or perceived imminent threat, while in contrast “anxiety” is the fear of future events.

  • Social Anxiety (also known as Social Phobia): Feelings of being overwhelmed, or as if others are constantly judging you in everyday situations.

  • Separation Anxiety

  • Panic Disorder: Overwhelming fear, that you would even consider “terror” happens at random without warning. Panic attacks are common, with physical symptoms such as shortness of breath, racing heartbeat, and sweating.
